Fr. John Detisch hails from the great city of Erie as pastor of Sacred Heart Church on 26th Street. Fr. John is often seen in his Roush Mustang selling tickets for Sacred Heart Parish Days. Fr. John is very active in the Erie Deanery and enjoys being called “Very Reverend.” While we were hesitant about posting his picture on our bio sheet, he really is as nice as he looks (but photos don’t speak). Fr. John will be delivering an inspirational speech during the rally. Fr. John is refreshed by Superman ice-cream.
Fr. Ross Miceli is campus minister at Elk County Catholic High School in St. Marys, PA. He recently finished seminary in Baltimore at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Roland Park. Ross enjoys teaching theology, especially when he can translate it from English to Spanish to the general amazement and dismay of many of his students. Fr. Ross will be celebrating the closing Mass for the F5 Youth Rally this year. He is often seen (in order) at the following locations: school, church, and IKEA (we think he secretly works for them!) Fr. Ross is refreshed by cookie dough ice-cream.
Greg Schlueter brings many years of “Youth Ministry” to the table. He is active in his home parish of St. George, Erie. Greg likes to spend a lot of time with his awesome family: wife Stephanie and seven children (too many names for this bio!) Greg enjoys working with multi-media and shares the love of “communication ministry.” When Greg is not playing or praying, you might run into him at some event with a digital camera covering his right eye. Greg is refreshed by pistachio ice-cream.
Jesse Spanogle is Director of Youth Ministry for three Catholic parishes in Erie: Blessed Sacrament, Sacred Heart, and St. Andrew. Jesse enjoys planning retreats and youth events all year long, especially when it is really hot outside (and inside). You will often see Jesse with his lovely wife, Jessica, and their two daughters, Sophie and Bella. When Jesse is not “bible-thumping” he is probably on the hockey rink or learning something new about blogging. Jesse is refreshed by cookies and cream ice-cream.
